Rise Bookshelf by Ethnicraft
Inspired Design: The Rise Bookshelf draws inspiration from minimalistic residential architecture. It features a light rectangular design crafted from the warmth of oak and metal.
Signature Openness: Designed by Alain van Havre, the collection’s signature openness provides ample space to display decorative objects without overshadowing the setting you create.
- Natural Variations: Please note that wood pieces are unique and may come with natural variations. The natural characteristics, known as “Medullary Rays,” are the unique cellular structures found in solid wood, especially in White Oak.
- Quarter-Sawn Cut: The wood's desired characteristics are drawn out by the quarter-sawn cut, revered for its beauty, strength, and prevention of warping. Light and shade variations further enhance the beauty.
- Structural Soundness: Quarter-sawn oak is a more structurally sound hardwood than flat-sawn oak, resisting cupping, twisting, warping, moisture penetration, and raised grain.
- Desirable Features: One of the most sought-after features of quarter-sawn white and red oak is the flecks and rays that appear on the face of the boards as a result of cutting along the growth rings.
