Ascense Rug by GAN

The Ascense collection is a design by the Valencian studio Arnau Reyna that fuses optical illusions, dynamism, and symbolism. Its rugs play with the human eye's ability to perceive color through its blue gradients, creating the sensation of being connected ramps that ascend and rise. At the same time, its chromatic richness seeks to capture the essence of the landscapes of Nepalese routes and paths.

To achieve such perfect and subtle color transitions, the artisans of Nepal who craft the collections of our GAN EDITION series use up to 250 different yarn shades in the complex knotting of the Ascense rugs. Their masterful skill in the hand knotted technique is what allows for the execution of such fluid color transitions and gradients with such a high level of detail, capable of generating the optical illusion of elevation through the richness and potential of color.

The rectangular Ascense Aqua model measures 200 x 320 cm and is also available in earth tones, as well as in a runner rug format. This collection is made with 100% New Zealand wool, so it is suitable for an interior location.
