I think that rugs have always accompanied people in their travels, not only during the nomadic period. Precisely because we are all in a certain sense nomads, also in this day and age we continue to travel and within the four walls of our homes we move from one room to another.

The rug brings the poetry of journeying to mind – I imagine myself as the person who, during their wanderings, lays the rug on the ground…. and immediately the space becomes home.
