Garden of Eden Rug by Golran
The Garden of Eden rug collection, designed by India Mahdavi, draws inspiration from Persian gardens, establishing a link with Golran's heritage and Mahdavi's diverse background.
- The rugs feature a pattern of smooth leaves gradually overlapping towards the center, evoking the image of leaves being swept up by the wind, symbolizing a journey through the centuries-old tradition of Persian carpets.
- The first "garden" rug follows a more classic design, with a rectangular format, a prominently framed central decoration, and zigzag edges replacing typical fringes.
- The second rug reveals a wild garden by removing the central pattern from the initial design, resulting in a freer, all-over pattern suitable for unconventional spaces.
- India Mahdavi's interpretation breaks free from traditional shapes, adding movement and offering a fresh perspective on carpets inspired by Eastern gardens.
- The collection is available in four colorways, each paying homage to the months and seasons: March in green, June in honey yellow, September in warm orange tones, and December in black and white.
