ML 80 Composition by Ligne Roset
Designed in 1973 by Philippe Morel-Lab, the ML80 collection is based on a simple yet ingenious principle of wall profiles onto which various storage elements are attached. Shelves, niches, chests with doors or drawers can be freely combined to create bookshelves and storage units, offering a great flexibility. Fixed to the wall and grounded on the floor, the system shows a remarkable visual lightness. The structure becomes the organising element of the cabinet, resulting in layouts that are both rational and graphic. The profiles feature a smooth, unperforated groove along their edges, allowing for the free positioning of elements without the constraints of predefined drilling. Compositions can thus be modified or added to at any time. Discontinued in the 1990s, ML80 returns today in an updated version, faithful to its original principle while adapting it to contemporary uses. In a context where modular wall systems are experiencing a resurgence of interest, its principle of light and scalable structure fully meets current expectations: optimising space, freeing up floor space and creating personalised storage solutions.
