The MHC.1 Dresser, designed by Werner Blaser, is a modern piece of furniture that pays homage to the original prototype by Molteni&C. Although it was never mass-produced, this chest of drawers received first prize at the 1955 Cantù “Prima mostra selettiva - Concorso internazionale del mobile” competition, which aimed to revitalize the image of Italian furniture production. The judging panel consisted of esteemed designers Gio Ponti, Alvar Aalto, Romano Barocchi, Carlo de Carli and Finn Juhl. The unique construction boasts a simple yet elegant three-fork joint.
After issuing a limited edition run of 100 numbered pieces, two new non-numbered versions are available in the new finishes honey pattern wood and black ash wood.
