This indoor rug, inspired by the artwork of Eduardo Chillida, beautifully pays homage to his collage Gravitación Tinta 1996. The Gravitaciones series, which were not your typical overlapping paper cut-outs, were instead relief sculptures. With a playful touch, Chillida pushed the concept of gravitating to the limit, as the light paper almost seemed weightless. Through the suspension of various types of paper, he achieved a striking effect, creating spaces of light and shadow as the fragments overlapped or intercalated. Capturing this tension was our main focus in transforming his work into a luxurious rug using traditional techniques, different fibers, and varying heights.
