Inspired by Nicolaus Copernicus, who in 1543 presented a heliocentric model of the universe, this luminaire consists of nine concentric mobileellipses obtained from a single aluminum plate supporting a circuit of 384 “hand sawn” white LEDs. The ellipses rotate independently on two different axes, enabling to direct the light emission and to make numerous elegant configurations.
