The objective was to create a place of respite in the center of bustling downtown life. Upon entry, a painting by Philip Gray is showcased; the warm and vibrant tones in the piece contrast the rich textured, navy grasscloth on the walls. This inspired the palette of blues, ambers, and brass tones that continue throughout the space. The furniture and lighting take on a modernized classic form featuring pieces from B&B Italia, Molteni & C, Gubi, and a local artisan who created a custom live edge dining table. Layered materials such as woven brass, dynamic wall coverings, and supple leather are artfully combined to create a sumptuous and textural environment.
